Job Description

The Role:
As a Financial Communications Intern, you will have a platform to learn, grow, and hone your skills in communications, working alongside some of the most experienced personnel in the industry. You must be proactive, conscientious, and enthusiastic, showing a keenness to learn and develop your career.


Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate attention to detail and complete work accurately and within deadlines.
  • Show eagerness to help others and be a valued team member.
  • Interact effectively both internally with colleagues and externally with clients, journalists, and analysts.
  • Be interested in and up to date with current affairs.
  • Use media and investor data systems efficiently.
  • Proactively address team and client needs over time.
  • Be a collaborative, engaged, and hardworking individual, representing APCO positively.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, public relations, international affairs, finance or related fields.
  • Demonstrate excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of business and interest in finance and the economic agenda in the region and globally, including key issues, media environment, and the political landscape.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills to interpret and analyze financial statements, financial results, private/venture capital, public company valuations, and key issues impacting company reputations and growth.
  • Keen interest in financial communications and investor relations
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to speak and write Arabic is preferred but not required.
