Role Purpose:



We are seeking an experienced Integration Partnership / Technical Director to support the Country Manager in leading and scaling business operations. This key role will oversee the entire integration and partnership functions of the company, with a focus on optimizing business processes and building strategic partnerships within the Fintech and Mobile Money space. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in payments, fintech startups, and partnership development, as well as the ability to drive operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Business Integration & Optimization:
  • Lead the end-to-end technical and business integration of the company's fintech products and services with various partners, including banks, mobile network operators, and other fintech platforms.
  • Oversee the integration of technical solutions to ensure seamless business operations and exceptional user experiences.
  • Ensure alignment of business objectives and technical execution to optimize operational efficiency and drive business growth.
  1. Partnership Development:
  • Leverage your existing network to identify and secure new partnerships that will enhance the company’s service offerings and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including fintech startups, banking institutions, mobile operators, and FMCG distribution partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop partnership strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
  1. Strategic Scaling:
  • Work closely with the Country Manager to scale the business across new markets and customer segments.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic insights on business models and operational processes to support the company’s expansion goals.
  • Assess the market landscape to identify opportunities for growth and develop innovative solutions to address challenges within the fintech ecosystem.
  1. Product & Technology Leadership:
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to design and implement robust technical solutions for payment processing, mobile money platforms, and other fintech-related services.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction for the integration of mobile money platforms, payment gateways, and digital wallets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards in the fintech sector.
  1. Operational Efficiency:
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Manage operational risks and ensure that all processes and systems are operating at optimal levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Build and lead a high-performing technical team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior members.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
  • Ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to deliver high-quality results.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the fintech, mobile money, payments, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience with startup operations within the fintech space, including launching and scaling businesses.
  • Strong technical background with experience in systems integration, API development, and payment processing platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, establish, and manage partnerships within the fintech ecosystem.
  • A robust network of contacts within the fintech, banking, mobile money, and FMCG distribution sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements related to payment systems and mobile money platforms.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
