Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of various instrumentation systems including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices.
- Calibrate control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and other process instrumentation.
- Install and commission new instrumentation equipment and control systems as required for various projects or upgrades.
- Ensure proper wiring, tubing, and configuration of instruments in compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation systems, including DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA, and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems).
- Identify faulty equipment or components and initiate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ADNOC’s safety regulations and industry standards, such as ATEX, IEC, and NEMA.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in risk assessments (HSE procedures).
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, calibration results, and inspections.
- Report any incidents, malfunctions, or near-misses to the Instrument Supervisor.
- Work closely with other technical teams such as electrical, mechanical, and process teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Provide support during plant shutdowns, start-ups, and emergencies.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in an ADNOC or similar oil field environment.
- Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and working in classified environments (Ex certified instruments).
- Certification in instrumentation or control systems (such as ISA or other recognized certifications) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards and procedures is an advantage.
Additional Information
- Onshore/offshore oil and gas facilities, possibly involving hazardous conditions.
- Shift work may be required, including night shifts or rotations (e.g., 28/28 offshore).
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
