Day-to-day operations:
Ensure that the work carried out complies with international construction codes, project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals as appropriate. Participation in work identification as required. Coordinate and liaise with classification society, third party inspection agencies, ship superintendents and other trades, to ensure adherence to related standards. Raise occurrence report, develop corrective and preventive action if processes do not meet the specific requirements and ensure that rework is carried out to customer satisfaction. Collecting, updating and filing all relevant inspection records. Perform NDT methods as per the Work Instructions, project requirements, International codes and Standards. Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas. Attend ant training for any activity required by department. Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Minimum Qualification:
Degree / Diploma in relevant field. Quality Control Inspection NDT/NDE techniques: ASNT Level II (UT,MT,PT), PCN Level II (UT,MT,PT) Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role. Plan, perform and carry out inspections in shop and On-board. Accept / Reject / Suggest in case of failures on jobs. Qualified ISO 9712 - PCN level II UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8 & 3.9), MT, PT and ASNT Level 2 (UT, MT, PT, RT). Should be conversant with applicable NDE / NDT techniques & standards. Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
