INFRASTRUCTURE RESIDENT ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The primary purpose of an Infrastructure Resident Engineer (Bridges) is to oversee, manage, and ensure the successful execution of bridge construction and infrastructure projects. Acting as the clients on-site representative, they ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project Oversight: Act as the clients representative for infrastructure projects, ensuring that all works are executed per design specifications, contractual agreements, and relevant standards.
• Specialization in Bridges: Oversee the construction, inspection, and maintenance of bridges, ensuring compliance with engineering designs, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to resolve complex engineering issues and challenges encountered during construction.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material samples, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
• Ensure all activities comply with UAE regulations and prepare comprehensive progress and quality reports for stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor site engineers and other team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects, including bridges, 
• Experience in design consultingfirms in the UAE and GCC region.
• Strong understanding of bridge design, construction methodologies, and related infrastructure.
• Familiarity with UAE standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools.
• Registration with a recognized engineering body and/or certifications in project management are advantageous.
• Flexible to travel within Abu Dhabi and Dubai site locations.
