Infrastructure Engineer

Help AG is looking for a talented and experienced Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible to maintain Help AG’s infrastructure and continuity of business operations for Help AG’s employees. This team member is a key player in ensuring the smooth running of Help AG’s IT infrastructure, including server, networking and cloud architecture. The Infrastructure Engineer is also responsible for the development of solutions to streamline the workloads of Help AG employees. This role implies a growth element into future developments and planning of new Help AG IT infrastructures, addressing areas such as security, efficiency, costs and operational stability.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute towards the development and enhancement of Help AG’s security posture, using the M365 E5 suite of tools and security controls. (Intune, Purview, Defender, Sentinel.)
• Maintain existing deployment of M365 modern workplace suite and deploy new solutions when available.
• Collaborate on projects for new system deployments, infrastructure enhancements and day-to-day improvements across Microsoft Azure, and on-prem environments.
• Maintain the wider Help AG network and infrastructure across the GCC region.
• Develop policies and procedures governing IT functions, including M365 components.
• Provide escalation support for Help AG end users and logged tickets / reported issues.
• Maintain infrastructure security, software updates and patching.
• Respond to on-site incidents and activities in Help AG’s offices or customer premises.
• Respond to SOC alerts and reported incidents with remedial action where necessary.
• Validate monthly AD reviews and system access reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in information security or IT-related matter or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365 suite of tools in a medium / large organization.
• Microsoft Certified with the following Credentials:
• • Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft 365 Security Administrator
  • Azure Security Engineer
  • Azure Architect Expert

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Purview and Defender, with practical skills on developing, testing, and rolling out policies across these tools and others within the 365 Suite.
• Hands on experience with complex cloud infrastructure architectures utilizing native cloud technologies and capabilities to manage security, cost and performance.
• Experience in maintaining endpoint and server operating system stability and security posture, including troubleshooting software / hardware issues.
• Good working knowledge with NGFW solutions, preferably Palo Alto and Fortinet, and their networking concepts.
• Proper and structured approach to documentation, diagramming and professional change management.
• Understanding of information security concepts and related technology including troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify new work areas and to self-govern goals and tasks.
• Ability to identify problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to apply a risk-based approach to planning, executing and reporting on engagements.
• Use judgement and ingenuity to maintain objectives and technical standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate to non-technical level and effectively convey or report on technical issues both in writing and verbally (In English.)
• Ability to comprehend complex business processes or technical language and prioritize / follow broad and complex instructions both independently and as part of a team, in line with the business needs.
• Impeccable organization, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
• Interact in a positive, friendly and proactive manner with other employees, board members and regulatory agencies in order to enhance effectiveness and promote quality service.
• Handle sensitive and confidential matters, situations, and data effectively and with integrity.
• Manage high pressure / difficult situations in a calm and collected manner.
