Charterhouse is working with a renowned client within the oil and gas industry based in Dubai. Our client is looking for an experienced Information Management Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the role
To enhance Records Management within the organization, the Information Management Specialist will identify challenges and contribute to developing and implementing enterprise-wide Information Management strategies to align with regulatory requirements. This role involves driving improvements in Records Management by defining future maturity levels, creating roadmaps with timelines, and building business cases for strategic implementation. Proposing new digital initiatives, offering specialist advice on information management, and promoting collaborative working while managing information-related risks are part of the role as well.
Key tasks include automating information management processes, conducting compliance audits, ensuring adherence to policies, and liaising with Document and Record Management Coordinators to maintain document control and adherence to corporate standards. Additionally, you will train DRM Coordinators, manage inventory of physical and electronic resources, handle document retrieval and archiving, maintain data-sharing applications, and oversee the management and potential disposal of records.
About you
With a relevant bachelor's degree and preferably AIIM CIP certification, the ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of experience in Information Management within similarly sized organizations. The successful candidate’s background should include expertise in user adoption, change management, and the development and management of Information and Data Governance. They will have proven experience in customer service delivery and Document and Information Management Systems.
Skills encompassing process design, mapping, and implementation, as well as a solid understanding of Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Controls are essential for this role. Known for exceptional communication abilities, the successful candidate should be able to engage effectively at all organizational levels and possess strong analytical skills. Additionally, they should have extensive knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), including Livelink, OpenText, and Microsoft Office applications.
