Job Description
I&C Supervisor will supervise the day-to-day Instrumentation and Control activities in the shift, including preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outage and overhauling work activities for all instrumentation and control systems in accordance with overall maintenance plans, HSE guidelines and quality standards to ensure effective functionality, plant availability and system reliability.
Maintenance Management
- Assign resources for the scheduled preventative maintenance / breakdowns, and major repair jobs in the shift to enable optimal functionality of instrumentation and control systems in line with quality standards and provide timely completion of all jobs while reporting any deviations to the Instrumentation and Control Engineer for action.
- Troubleshoot all instrumentation and control systems to ensure smooth and trouble-free operations of such systems in ACWA NOMAC’s plants.
- Test and validate the condition of equipment upon completion of repairs to confirm readiness in compliance to quality standards.
- Perform inspections on regular basis to follow-up on work progress of all instrumentation and control technicians ensuring that work progress is carried out as per approved work schedule and appropriate resources are allocated while highlighting any non-conformances to the Instrumentation and Control Engineer to ensure prompt action.
- Participate in the investigation and specification of modifications to existing systems; assist the Instrumentation and Control Engineer in the preparation of preliminary submissions including technical specifications and materials for modifications together with accompanying drawings, process diagrams and cost estimates
Outage Management
- Coordinate the planning and execution of the planned outage maintenance of critical instrumentation and control systems and equipment, as per the recommendation of the OEM, and provide technical support to ensure the EHS, scope, cost, and timeline objectives are met.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment
- Ensure Adherence to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Requirements:
- Minimum of Diploma in Instrument Engineering
- 7 – 10 years’ experience in Instrument and Control maintenance such as installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation and control systems and equipment in a plant environment.
