ROLE PURPOSE:
The HC Manager’s objective is to contribute to the achievement of the company's objectives by providing professional HR partnering to line management through effective planning and delivery of quality HR services while utilizing available resources. The HC Manager is responsible for all HR functions for the Middle East, North Africa & Turkey Cluster within the Aspen EME region. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Performance Management:


  • Ensuring the effectiveness of the performance management process and system, annual objective setting and conducting performance appraisals process in alignment with BU KPI’s.
  • Leading people development and learning processes to improve organizational competencies. Works with managers to develop training on a company, department and individual employee level.
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures and Performance improvement plans.
  • Assisting managers and other employees in the use of the performance management portal.
  • Providing support in the management of the performance management system, ensuring that the process is completed, and practices are complied with.

Talent Management:


  • Manage talent planning process in conjunction with the Leadership team.
  • Collaborate with department heads and line managers to identify high-potential talent, assess performance, and monitor career aspirations and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Closely partner with managers to effectively communicate expectations, develop talent, and administer performance improvement plans when necessary.

Training & Development:


  • Oversee and assess employee and departmental training needs, partnering with managers to create training plans in accordance with the employee and business requirements.
  • Ensure training needs are met in accordance with employee and business needs in a timely and effective manner.

Recruitment and Onboarding:


  • Oversee, coordinate & manage the recruitment process to facilitate the filling of open positions in a timely manner, whilst ensuring the quality of employees hired, the effectiveness of recruiting and selection techniques, and compliance with legislated requirements.
  • Developing HR planning strategies with line managers by considering immediate and long-term staff requirements.
  • Lead Recruiter for all open roles within the region, supports all recruitment activities for the MENAT Cluster as needed. Owns openings from job description development through to offer a stages and initiates onboarding.
  • Support hiring managers to understand the recruitment process, design appropriate job descriptions and requirements.
  • Manage the recruitment and interviewing process including interviewing, shortlisting candidates and maintaining interviewing record & forms and conduct reference checks if required.
  • Establishing and conducting HR onboarding, departmental induction programs and Ethics training.
  • Conducting employees exit interviews, evaluating outcomes and review process improvements where necessary.
  • Advocate for equal opportunities and Aspen Values.

Compensation & Benefits:


  • Provides on-site compensation and benefits consultation.
  • Manage annual merit increases and incentive cycles, and benefits inquiries for the MENAT cluster.
  • Ensures fair and competitive positioning of salaries through internal equity and external market analysis.
  • Salary / Benefits benchmarking for the region by conducting Annual pay surveys with reputable remuneration consultants, coordinating with Group Reward Manager to develop and recommend employees pay plan and benefits program to the Group Executives.
  • Implementing, updating and maintaining employees grading structure.
  • Advising on pay and other issues related to pay, including promotion and benefits.

Payroll:


  • Manage and administer the monthly payroll updates and reconciliations.
  • Review and approve invoicing for distributor markets across the region.

Audit & Reporting:


  • Point of contact for all Audit requirements related to Payroll, ensuring the requirements are met in an efficient timely manner.
  • Provide detailed and accurate metric reports to Group on a Quarterly and Annual basis.

Employee Engagement:


  • Coordinate the Group employee engagement surveys.
  • Manage the roll out of 360 feedback surveys.
  • Manage the quarterly and annual nominations and recognition programs.
  • Deliver social initiatives including annual team building activities.
  • Responsible for coordinating corporate events in accordance with the social initiatives, HR directives and company policy.

Process Improvement


  • Analyze and evaluate current HR practices and processes for improvement.
  • Update and maintain the employee handbook in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Created HR related document templates and managing employment contracts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand the impact of a change in HR process, prior to implementation.
  • Driving equality and diversity in support of Aspen Values.

Compliance Liaison:


  • Ensure effective internal communication to meet the objectives of the Ethics & Compliance function.
  • Assist in adapting certain business procedures with local rules, industry codes and regulations.
  • Monitor implementation of the Policies and Business Procedures issued and ensure that all communication at local level is in accordance with these.
  • Monitor and manage the HR department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Employee Relations:


  • Interpreting and advising on employment legislation; develop and implement policies on a variety of workplace issues e.g. disciplinary procedures, absence management, working conditions, performance management and equal opportunities.
  • Maintain effective employee relations practices, including effective relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  • Provides employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including performance, discipline, organizational decisions and career development.
  • Provides interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource local requirements for each country within the MENAT cluster.



Requirements


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Level of Education required:


  • Behavioural Science degree or equivalent is a definite requirement for the position (Industrial Psychology/Human Resources/IR)
  • Master’s Degree - desirable.

Years of experience required:


  • Proven experience and success in Human Resources in a medium to large size company, ideally within a pharmaceutical environment/Commercial Function - Minimum 7 Years
  • Proven experience in HR Management function - Minimum 2 years 

Technical skills:


  • Ability to support the business and advice line managers on all Employee Relations - Advanced.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Advanced.
  • Experience with and application of Labor Laws and TECOM regulations - Intermediate.
  • Experience with Salary and Benefit benchmarking and application - Intermediate.
