About the job HSE Specialist/Coordinator Food

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HSE Specialist/Coordinator to join our Clients team in the food industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, thereby creating a safe working environment for all employees. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, preparing documentation for management reviews.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with production and operational teams to integrate safety practices into daily activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in health and safety legislation, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.

Requirements


  • Education: Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of HSE working experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Certifications: Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Experience in training HSE courses is considered an asset.
    • Working knowledge of safety programs and procedures.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
