About the job HSE OFFICER (JUNIOR)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of a Junior HSE Officer is to ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld within an organization. Junior HSE Officer plays a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of employees, protecting the environment, and ensuring smooth, compliant operations within the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in implementing and monitoring the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within mechanical and fabrication workshop areas to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Identify and report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and practices to the HSE Manager.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and workers on HSE matters, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Participate in risk assessments, accident investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Ensure that all employees and contractors adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain HSE documentation, including incident reports, training records, and inspection checklists.
- Conduct safety induction and training sessions for new employees and contractors.
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning activities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in a mechanical or fabrication workshop setting.
- Possession of a valid NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards.
- Ability to identify risks and implement corrective measures effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates currently residing in the UAE will only be considered.
- Must be available for immediate joining.
