About the job HSE MANAGER
We are seeking a highly experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager to join our team for villa construction projects in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager, specifically within the villa construction sector, and a strong background working with top-tier main contractors in the region.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and manage the HSE policies, procedures, and systems for villa construction projects to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Conduct HSE training, awareness programs, and toolbox talks for site personnel to promote a safety culture.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance, including near misses, incidents, and safety KPIs.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with HSE objectives.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain all HSE documentation, including safety reports, permits, and compliance certificates.
- Lead emergency response planning and conduct regular drills to ensure site readiness.
- Ensure effective implementation of waste management, environmental protection, and sustainability initiatives.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager on villa construction projects in the Middle East.
- Proven experience working with top-tier main contractors in the region.
- In-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent certification is required.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
