HSE ENGINEER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations on-site.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental laws, as well as client and project-specific HSE standards.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including reports, audits, and incident investigations.
• Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for workers to promote HSE awareness.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to maintain HSE compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all permits and approvals related to HSE are in place.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct safety drills as required.
  

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an HSE Engineer in large-scale projects in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certifications.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other relevant HSE certifications.
• Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations, industry best practices, and international safety standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be locally available in the UAE and ready to join immediately.
