JOB SUMMARY:
The HSE Coordinator is primarily responsible for using independent judgment and discretion to reinforce the Company’s Actively C.A.R.E programs by assisting employees in controlling and removing unsafe behaviors and exposures in the workplace. Serve as a case manager in the event of a work-related injury or illness requiring medical evaluation or treatment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrates core values and safety standards according to the company way
• Ensures the safe operation of the facility, including the work site, equipment and personnel that come directly under their control
• Fully understands and ensures compliance of all aspects of Saudi health, safety and environmental legislation and obligations
• Across the operation, promotes and ensures the use of company’s core HSE Processes including but not limited to: C.O.A.C.H, Lifebelts, written safe work procedures, POMS R&R program and EHS reporting
• Responsible for independently verifying and auditing use and adherence to core HSE Processes including but not limited to: C.O.A.C.H, Lifebelts, written safe work procedures, POMS
• Support personnel during non-routine tasks and major repair activities by assisting with pre-job planning and safety meetings, prior to the start of operations
• Facilitates on-boarding, pre-tour, pre-job, and weekly safety meetings, participating in hazardous operations as a safety observer and promoting the use of company’s Actively C.A.R.E. programs
• Uses independent judgment and discretion to provide injury case management and serves as a liaison with occupational and emergency medical services for employees that sustain work related injuries or illnesses to include escort for initial examination all follow-up treatments
• Serves as a liaison with Worker Compensation administrators and case managers/nurses in insurance claims management
• Maintains all occupational and emergency medical services’ documents in accordance with company policies and Saudi legislation
• Uses independent judgment and discretion to assist in completing required HSE reporting processes including but not limited to inspections, audits, negative events, good catches, and the rewards & recognition reports
• Uses independent judgment and discretion to ensure internal and external HSE Standards are being met by conducting regular inspections of company facilities and audits of HSE processes
• Actively facilitate and observe the use of company’s Pre-Job Planning tools such as Compass Cards, eJSA’s, FlexChecks and Video JSA’s; Participates in e-JSA change requests
• Uses independent judgment and discretion to participate in C.O.A.C.H. conversations, using the CAR and CAR/AR model
• Assist all company employees through mentoring and coaching, providing additional support to New to Position and Short Service Employees
• Uses independent judgment and discretion to reinforce proper use of protective equipment (PPE) by all parties present and conducts inspections and audits within and outside of the EHS reporting system and conducts inspections of safety related equipment
• Per company policies, deliver AWP, forklift, and Regulatory Required training to field employees
• Serves as a liaison with regulatory officers during unannounced compliance inspections
• Uses independent judgment and discretion to investigate accidents/injuries and submit reports to Operations Manager; Assists the lead investigator as needed on SIF investigations; participates in tap root investigations
• Up to date on current WorkDay trainings as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge on H&P Incident Investigation Procedure and TapRoot

• Demonstrated commitment to company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and C.A.R.E. processes (COACH people-based safety, Compass Cards, LifeBelts, JSAs, hotwork, confined space entry, lock-out/tag-out, dropped object prevention, etc.) with a proven track record of compliance
• Thorough knowledge of company HSE practices, policies, and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of drilling rig equipment and operations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient PC-based skills including but not limited to: E.A.M., Excel, Word, Cloud Storage, etc.
• Ability to plan and organize multiple processes concurrently
• Ability to operate a vehicle (valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR background check)
