This role will work closely with the Business to effectively provide human resources’ related services, support, guidance and advice for a particular division/location.
HRBP will be responsible for undertaking projects relating to the formulation, development and implementation of policies and business strategies to achieve organization’s objectives and business goals while fostering a positive workplace culture.
What you’ll do
Strategic HR Support
Manages HR delivery in a geographic or equivalent area, delivering HR programmes and plans that support the organisation’s objectives and incorporate the mid to long term business and HR strategic priorities. Acts as primary point of contact of relevant business stakeholders for HR policy issues. Collaborate with the HR different teams to support the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to ensure that business needs are integrated into HR programs and interventions. Provide project based or technical HR support at defined areas, for example supporting the local business with talent management and succession planning or in development and deployment of reward structures. Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures, ensuring that employees are aware of and compliant with organizational guidelines.
HR Policy & Compliance
Ensures compliance with all internal HR policies and labor laws and regulations of their respective markets when advising on employee-related matters.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees in fostering a positive work environment. Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including the measurement of employee engagement and the development of improvement action plans. Drives and supports the development and delivery of cultural change plans and interventions.
Employee Data Management
Assist in maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
HR Project Coordination
Provide coordination and administrative support for HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with HR objectives. Works across the HR function and business, seeks to ensure interventions are integrated in a consistent way that supports AZ’s organizational objectives.
Essential for the role
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant domain Previous HR Business Partnering experience with solid examples of unlocking the business potential through HR. Strong business acumen Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality HR support and service.

Emma Ward, and I'm a talent acquisition partner here at AstraZeneca, and my role means that I recruit for our UK apprenticeship programmes. So a day in the life of my role is very varied. I can talk to hiring managers about an apprenticeship that they might want to recruit for. I can talk to current line managers about the apprentices that they've already got working for them. But one of my favourite parts about the role is talking to people about the opportunities an apprenticeship programme can offer them or their child, potentially, or somebody that they know. So there's lots of opportunities for me to meet candidates via virtual career events or being introduced to them by a third party. And I really get the chance to speak to them about our apprenticeship programmes and the opportunities that a scheme like ours has to offer them as an individual. So not only does it offer them a variety of different roles at different levels, but it also gives them the opportunity to work for a really large organisation. So lots of different interactions with lots of different people, both internal and external, which makes my job really exciting every single day.
