Job Description
Apt Resources is seeking a dedicated Houseman to join the team of a UHNWF (Ultra High Net Worth Family) in Dubai. The Houseman will be responsible for supporting the Estate with a wide range of operational tasks, including maintaining the fleet and ensuring animal welfare. You will work alongside the estate team to provide the highest level of operational service and performance. This is a busy estate where the ability to think on your feet and follow instructions is essential.
In this role, the Houseman will also play a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the family’s residence, ensuring that every detail is handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Total discretion and the ability to provide exceptional service without being intrusive.
- Supporting animal welfare including but not limited to dogs, and sugar gliders as directed by the House Manager.
- Ensure the dogs are walked according to the schedule.
- Cleaning and care of dogs, sugar gliders, and their hutch, including all toys and items for the animals.
- Animal welfare, records, treatments, and vet appointments.
- Dog grooming.
- All animal-related requests by the Principals.
- Daily collection of dog fouls.
- Maintenance and upkeep of the garage and its facilities.
- Collections as required by Principals or line Managers.
- Running errands as required.
- Assisting with household administration and accounts as directed.
- Flexible with working hours and adaptable to change which might include weekends and bank holidays at short notice.
- Highest standards of personal grooming.
- Critical eye for detail.
- Ability to work efficiently independently or within the wider team.
- To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your line manager or member of the senior management team.
- Any other duties required to support the estate operation.
Health & Safety
- To ensure that all work undertaken is done in a safe manner and in accordance with relevant approved codes of practice.
- To wear appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company.
- To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Acts as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.
- To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests, or visitors are reported in accordance with correct procedures.
- To be fully conversant with the risk assessments for your department.
- To comply with all Health & Safety regulations including fire safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, staff, contractors, and Principals.
