As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:


  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high service standards.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and coordinate ordering as needed.
  • Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the hotel’s standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety and hygiene protocols in all housekeeping and laundry operations.
  • Monitor and manage the laundry process, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and quality.
  • Address guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping and laundry services promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:


  • High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping and laundry management, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Hotel Housekeeping or related field.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
  • Familiarity with laundry machinery and maintenance procedures.
