Head of Strategy (crypto industry experience required)

Hiring for a large crypto-currency company in Abu Dhabi.

We are looking for a Head of Strategy with deep expertise in the cryptocurrency sector to lead our strategic planning and business development efforts. The role requires an individual with exceptional analytical skills, a forward-thinking approach, and a robust understanding of the blockchain ecosystem. The successful candidate will shape the strategic direction of the company, identify growth opportunities, and maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine the company's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the long-term vision and goals.
  
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities within the cryptocurrency industry.
  
• Partner with senior leadership to develop growth strategies, optimize operational efficiency, and drive business performance.
  
• Oversee strategic projects and initiatives, from conception through execution, managing cross-functional teams to deliver on objectives.
  
• Facilitate strategic decision-making processes, providing insights and recommendations based on rigorous analysis and financial modeling.
  
• Establish metrics to assess and report on the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and the company's overall strategic performance.
  
• Foster relationships with key industry players, including potential partners, customers, and investors, to advance business objectives.
  
• Continuously monitor the regulatory and technological landscape of the cryptocurrency industry to anticipate changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
  
• Serve as a champion of innovation within the company, encouraging a culture that embraces change and seeks continuous improvement.
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  
• Minimum 10+ years of experience, with atleast 4+ years of experience in the related field.
  
• Proven experience in a strategic role within the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech sectors.
  
• Strong understanding of the global cryptocurrency market, ecosystem, and regulatory environment.
  
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing business strategies that have driven growth and profitability.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  
• Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly competitive environment.
  

Desirable Experience:

• Experience working in a top-tier consulting firm with exposure to the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry.
  
• Established network within the cryptocurrency sector and a track record of successful business development.
  
• Familiarity with emerging trends in digital assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the broader financial technology landscape.
