Head of Production

Your role

Your role is to be the responsible manager for Production within the Sourcing and Production Team. The team consists of employees representing disciplines for Production and Industrialization.


Responsibilities:
  • Owner of all production activities, with focus on the production and industrialization processes.


  • The role will be responsible for budget, recruitments, competence development, individual objectives and performance evaluations, participate in future business planning, administration and process support within projects.


  • Translate high-lever strategies and overall targets into well-communicated goals for your organization, and ensure execution and follow-up.


  • Set and continuously develop Ways of Working.


  • Being an active member of the project teams.


  • Take an active role when setting up an ERP/MPS system within the organization.


  • Ensure quality, lead-time and cost commitment to internal and external stakeholders.


  • Oversee the development of efficient processes within Production


  • Support Lean and Kaizen initiatives on the shop floor.


  • Being a mentor to others, share knowledge and actively work on development plans for team members.


  • Lead, empower and challenge your employees by acting according to Saab’s values.


  • Lead the team throughout the industrialization process for new/developing products


Skills and experience:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Production/Process Engineering, with proven extensive experience of several production areas.


Experience from leading positions within Industrialization and Production areas is advantageous, showcasing the desire to be part of continued build-up of the operation within the UAE.


Requirements for this role are:
  • Proven extensive experience in production, and industrialization through leadership roles


  • Strong business understanding, customer focus and skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions


  • Proven ability to take decisions that improve profitability


  • Curious and inspired by new challenges while having a well-developed understanding and willingness to learn about different cultures


  • Excellent ability to develop, execute, streamline and manage processes


  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to efficiently collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds.


  • Driven person with the ability to generate energy and lead in accordance with Saab values.


  • Experienced in recruiting and developing teams in a growth phase.


  • Holding professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline, and having excellent skills in spoken and written English.


  • Experience from work in accordance to a certified management system (processes)


  • Driver’s license


This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
