Job Description

We are recruiting for a Head of Procurement to join a leading government entity based in Abu Dhabi. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale procurement operations, particularly within the public sector or regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimise costs and ensure value for money.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering partnerships that drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and mitigating risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
  • Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Ensure the alignment of procurement strategies with the organisation's long-term goals and Vision 2030 objectives.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws and regulations within the UAE.
  • Experience in working within government entities or large organisations is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement cost-saving strategies and streamline procurement processes.
