Head of MENA - Public Transport - Guildhall

The Role
Guildhall is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead the MENA Regional Office and the Centre for Transport Excellence (CTE) for an international public transport association. The organization is a champion of sustainable urban mobility, bringing together public transport stakeholders and sustainable transport modes worldwide. With over 1,900 member companies across more than 100 countries, our client plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of public transport. Position Overview: The Head of the MENA Regional Office and CTE will work under the supervision of the Senior Director of Global Growth and will be responsible for defining and executing regional office activities. This leadership role focuses on retaining current members, expanding the membership base, and contributing to the global strategy. The ideal candidate will manage key relationships with government bodies, business partners, and international institutions and ensure the smooth operation of the office in alignment with legal, financial, and administrative standards. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement the regional business plan in alignment with the global strategy. - Analyze the public transport market and identify opportunities for membership and business development. - Oversee the MENA Executive Board and CTE Strategic Board, ensuring member engagement. - Lead research projects, events, and training programs focused on sustainable mobility in the MENA region. - Manage the region's budget and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with board guidelines. - Represent the organization in the MENA region and maintain relationships with international institutions and key partners. - Ensure the administrative, financial, and human resources management of the regional office and CTE. - Promote the public transport advocacy strategy in line with global initiatives. Requirements

• Strong leadership experience within a regional or international organization. - Expertise in public transport or sustainable urban mobility sectors. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Proven experience in managing budgets and developing business plans. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify growth opportunities in the market. - Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
