We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Flight Operations to lead a team of five talented drone system operators. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, maintenance, and execution of large-scale drone shows for our global projects, ensuring their seamless delivery and world-class quality.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage Cyberdrone’s team of drone system operators;
  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command for drone light shows consisting of hundreds to thousands of drones flying simultaneously;
  • Assess potential risks associated with drone operations and develop risk mitigation strategies;
  • Ensure all necessary licenses and permits to conduct our operations are in place, and with that collaborate with aviation authorities worldwide;
  • Coordinate with show producers, film crews, event staff, and security to ensure safe and successful operations worldwide;
  • Conduct pre-mission planning with project managers/show producers to clarify deliverables;
  • Manage equipment troubleshooting and regular maintenance;
  • Execute and perform site visits and manage our network of drone system operators worldwide.

Requirements:


  • Professional experience with drones;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field;
  • Create and follow through on SOPs (e.g. keep up-to-date flight- and maintenance logs);
  • Aptitude to work globally, outdoors, and with limited facilities and resources for extended periods;
  • Skills to maintain, inspect, and occasionally repair UAS equipment;
  • Capacity to manage small field crew, field schedule, and project expectations;
  • Work within a dynamic schedule tailored to project needs;
  • Fluent English.
