Job Description
Role Overview
The Head of Early Years leads the Early Years department, ensuring high-quality, inquiry-based learning aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and KHDA regulations. This role involves curriculum oversight, staff development, student well-being, and parental engagement, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Implement and oversee the IB PYP Early Years curriculum with a focus on play-based, inquiry-driven learning.
· Lead and mentor Early Years staff, providing training, support, and performance management.
· Ensure student well-being, inclusion, and personalized learning strategies.
· Collaborate with parents and school leadership to enhance home-school partnerships.
· Manage resources, compliance, and operational aspects of the Early Years department.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred).
· 5+ years of Early Years experience, preferably in an IB PYP school, with leadership experience.
· Strong knowledge of IB philosophy, play-based learning, and student-centered approaches.
· Familiarity with KHDA regulations and UAE Early Years best practices.
