The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) was established to transform HSBC into a truly data-driven organisation by ensuring that every design decision has a built-in data consideration. As DAO we will provide leadership that enables data and analytics to be a key driver of our business strategy. We work closely in partnership with senior stakeholders and delivery teams all over the world to connect the business processes, data, products, services, and technology that underpin customer value and financial success. We align with the new Value Stream to derive value from Data Management, Data Provisioning, Analytics and Insight.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in leading the DAO function for the MENAT region and work collaboratively across all regions.
Key priorities include to:
- Drive buy-in, alignment and execution of the Group Data Strategy in MENAT, including working to ensure all development is aligned to the Future State Architecture and aligns to the Data Standards.
- Lead data transformation initiatives to improve end-to-end processes in MENAT.
- Work with all respective GBGFs on data remediation and enhancement.
- Work with stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance in relation to data, acting as a single point person to the MENAT regulators, ensuring appropriate regulator engagement on all data matters.
- Manage data risk and control implementation in MENAT, operating as the most senior data expert.
- Collaborate with Group DAO and regional businesses on the design of products, services, processes, and technology solutions to fulfil our customers’ wishes.
- Partner and collaborate with members of the ExCo and leadership team including the MENAT Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer to maximise effectiveness.
- Build a community of data professionals and data enthusiasts across MENAT, to influence the outcomes for data governance, quality, and data related projects.
- Support the delivery of data and analytics solutions by ensuring proper implementation and execution of Group DAO principles, strategies, and standards.
