Job Description

The Head Hostess position is a vital role in the hospitality industry, particularly in the catering and restaurant sector. This role involves overseeing the dining experience, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and attended to from the moment they arrive. The Head Hostess is responsible for managing the front-of-house operations, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff to provide exceptional service. This position requires a blend of leadership, customer service skills, and organizational abilities to create a seamless dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
  2. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining area.
  3. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  4. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  5. Train and supervise junior host staff to maintain high service standards.
  6. Monitor dining room activity and adjust seating as necessary to accommodate guests.
  7. Assist in planning and executing special events and private dining experiences.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
  9. Collect feedback from guests to improve service quality.
  10. Implement and uphold restaurant policies and procedures.
