Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the West Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of the Ottoman Era and features hand-painted finishings, artworks and stunning murals influenced by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire.

About the Job


An opportunity has arisen for an Events Manager to join Sales department in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Act as the single point of contact within hotel for each key account for any MICE enquiry.
  • Assist and introduce Jumeirah Hotels Sales & Marketing teams to area of coverage/responsibility and identified customer group when requested.
  • Identify and communicate ideas and customer expectations from assigned segments and territory.
  • Monitor and feedback competitors’ activities and respond to them appropriately.
  • Maintain high profile network across the geographical area given, actively prospects and hunt new business opportunities.
  • On-site contact for key Groups and Events with Destination Weddings a key focus
  • Site in sections with prospect enquries and clients
  • Deputise when the Sales Manager - MICE is out of the office 
  • Be fully up to date with budgeted/actual/forecast targets of the SBU as well as own segment and individual target. 
  • Responsible to continuously secure below and above the line marketing opportunities to position the brand and drive sales with corporate partners.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with GSO’s and SBU’s.

Administrational


  • Maintain an accurate profiles and history of all enquires in Delphi.
  • Contribute to the month end report and submit to line manager by the end of 1st week of the month.
  • Submit all new opportunities for the SBU’s via Delphi. 
  • Create BEOs, proposals and contracts in a timely manner
  • Lead BEO bi-weekly meetings
  • Proper quality of input in Salesforce and make sure to enter new contacts and accounts into the system as per the Jumeirah Data Entry Standards.
  • Attend the daily briefing of the hotel and feedback to other sales colleagues.
  • Review daily the guest arrival list to highlight VIP’s and returning guests.

About You


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
  • At least 2 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably with an international hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.
  • Knowledge of Delphi
  • Knowledge within the markets of its portfolio.
  • Excellent sales skills and proven ability to influence clients to lead to higher revenue generations.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Creative and innovative approach to sales activities.
  • Strong understanding of core hotelier operations.
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong capability with Salesforce and JBI, Revenue Management and Windows Suite.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent networker.
