Discover more about GroupM Nexus at Intro to the role: We are a team of approximately 100 people working on a mix of clients such as Coca Cola, Mars, PIF, L’Oréal or adidas. We are now looking for the new Paid Search Lead to come and join the growing Paid Search team based in Dubai. As a Senior Performance Manager you will be responsible for delivering category-defining capabilities and services across paid search. Success in this role involves providing strategic insight, helping to evolve best practices within the paid search channel, and leading a team made up of both local and regional Hub members, with ultimate responsibility for the quality of work within this team. Key Responsibilities:



Operational Excellence
· Lead Paid Search excellence across the group ensuring adherence to our Excellence framework · Lead our modern search approach across clients and enact our future of search strategy across all accounts · Lead integrated Search efforts by aligning approaches across SEO, Retail Search and Paid Search teams and offering · Develop ways of working that maximize client output whilst minimizing operational input. · Deliver quarterly, semi-annual, or annual updates on work quality as it relates to owned workstreams. · Lead through vision, values, and model leadership behaviors while championing and facilitating change in a positive manner.
Innovation & Knowledge Sharing
· Be the voice of Paid Search at a group level, create and distribute Search POVs internally and externally · Lead on Paid Search training programs for practitioners and non-practitioners in collaboration with the learning and development team as well as partners · Lead on Paid Search innovation agenda at a Group Level, champion our Paid Search innovation roadmap · Lead on Paid Search certification programs internally in collaboration with our key partners · Create a Paid Search community at a group level promoting innovation, knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Paid Search community · Lead on Paid Search tech partnerships ensuring all our tech partnerships increase output and minimize input
Campaign Management
· Oversee development and creation of paid search best practices, with ultimate accountability for adherence to controls, and responsible for effective oversight of designated paid search campaigns and weaving these into the overall cross-channel campaign strategy. · Develop in-depth knowledge of paid search, operating as an in-agency expert in your field of specialism, whilst showing a good understanding of the overall media landscape. · Actively generate case studies and seek opportunities for award entries whilst ensuring the teams aim at a higher prominence within the wider industry.
Client & Partner Management
· Develop strong relationships with your client and key suppliers, leading team communications with these stakeholders. Lead efforts to gather and disseminate intelligence about the client to ensure deep understanding to predict and meet their business needs. · Demonstrates expert understanding of business successes, challenges, and strategic objectives; draws from experience to evaluate solutions from the business perspective and provide advice regarding potential opportunities and risks. · Strategically nurtures relationships with key decision-makers by helping them successfully navigate through critical business changes and address complex issues in their businesses.
People Management
· Ensuring the effective management of more junior team members and the regional Hub, guaranteeing workloads are monitored and prioritized to meet deadlines. · Support the Head of/Director and broader team in capacity planning and resource management. Lead the recruitment process for your immediate team and assist with the wider team’s recruitment as needed. · Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with internal and external stakeholders as required across email, chat, video, and in-person. Leading presentations where necessary.
About You:
· A real passion for Paid search is required for this role, this is not a campaign management role, it is a real opportunity to help shape our Paid Search offering · Future Facing approach and curiosity, Paid Search is changing, and this role is about preparing for that change and ensuring our people and clients are making the most of it. · Expertise in Paid Search, demonstrated by a proven record of accomplishment of driving performance for clients. · Strong commercial acumen, leading on the delivery of services in line with client objectives, service level agreements, and terms of business. · Strong leadership, communication, and presenting skills, in addition to technical, numeracy, and analytical abilities, with strong attention to detail. · Ability to lead and manage hybrid teams located in different markets. · Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and countries.
