Job Purpose:


The Group VP - Data Audit, AI and Digital Assurance Solutions (DADAS) will lead the transformation of Group Internal Audit(GIA)through advanced and AI-powered data analytics, AI and digital assurance strategies, to enhance risk management, automate control testing, and improve the accuracy and reliability of decision-making. promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency across GIA. 


Building on the Digital Assurance Solutions (DAS) team’s successes, the VP will further expand Data Audit,AI and digital assurance capabilities and tools to proactively address evolving audit needs, promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency across GIA, whilst supporting DP World’s digital transformation within the logistics and supply chain sectors.


Key Accountabilities:


Strategic Leadership & AI Integration


Oversee and evolve the Digital Assurance Solutions (DAS) function, now branded as DADAS, to support the “One GIA” strategy, incorporating AI-powered tools and align with DP World’s digital vision.


Drive digital transformation in audit processes, enhancing efficiency and transparency across audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.


Develop and execute the DADAS strategic framework with a focus on supporting business and technology audits, delivering high-impact results.


Develop strategies that leverage AI for audit analytics, predictive modeling, and anomaly detection, enhancing audit processes from planning through reporting.


Expand the role of AI-driven data audit techniques, focusing on improving transaction accuracy and identifying high-risk areas in real time.


Operational Excellence and Innovation 


Spearhead data audit initiatives to validate transaction accuracy, reliability, and completeness, ensuring data integrity across the group’s global operations.


Lead a team of data scientists and digital specialists, providing expert guidance in analytics, visualization, and the interpretation of complex data.


Oversee the integration and delivery of advanced data analytics solutions, maintaining a 40%+ conversion rate of data-driven insights into actionable audit issues.


Cross-functional Collaboration on technology initiatives


Foster collaboration with GIA’s regional hubs to meet growing demand for DAS support and share AI-driven insights, strengthening the role of audit analytics in risk and control assessments.


Engage closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to align digital assurance activities with company objectives and regulatory standards.


Champion a data-driven culture across the organization, promoting transparency and reliability in reporting and decision-making.


Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure AI integration aligns with corporate standards, risk management objectives, and strategic goals.


Team and Capability Development 


Build a team skilled in data science, digital assurance, and AI, focusing on continuous innovation and skill development in AI-driven audit techniques.


Develop talent within the DADAS team, encouraging continuous learning and innovation in data science and digital assurance methodologies.


Work with other departments, including Technology and Risk, to ensure cohesive and forward-looking digital strategies that support audit quality.


Act as a leader in nurturing global digital upskilling programs, such as Tech4Women, to foster inclusivity and a digitally empowered workforce.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:


Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, artificial intelligence, information systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree or specialized training in AI/ML frameworks, data governance, or advanced analytics is preferred.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 10-12 years in data analytics, digital transformation, or audit, ideally with substantial experience in integrating AI and digital assurance solutions. Proven leadership experience in a global or multinational environment is essential, with a track record in strategy development, team building, and scaling digital solutions.

Technical Skills:


  • Data Analytics and AI/ML: Advanced proficiency in data analytics platforms (e.g., Python, R, or SAS), machine learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras), and deep learning frameworks.
  • Automation and Data Visualization: Skilled in automation and data visualization software, including Power BI, Tableau, or similar, to enhance reporting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Audit and Risk Management Systems: Familiarity with audit management systems and a strong foundation in risk management tools (e.g., RSA Archer, SAP GRC).
  • Cloud and Big Data: Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data processing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) to manage large-scale, complex datasets across global audit operations.

Leadership Skills:


  • Demonstrated expertise in leading global, cross-functional teams and fostering a high-performance culture. Experience in managing change in digital transformation environments, with a focus on building digital-first capabilities within diverse teams.
  • Ability to align AI and data assurance strategies with organizational objectives, prioritize resources, and drive measurable outcomes, supporting both audit quality and business resilience.
  • Skilled in talent development, especially within digital and data-focused roles, and adept at promoting inclusive initiatives that encourage skill-building and cross-functional engagement.

Strategic and Analytical Thinking:


  • Exceptional strategic thinking to anticipate future data audit needs, design scalable frameworks, and lead innovative digital solutions that address complex business challenges. Adept at applying critical and analytical skills to assess risks, identify opportunities, and implement data-centric solutions.

Communication:


  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data and AI insights into actionable information for non-technical audiences. Proven success in influencing senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and regional teams, with experience in promoting a data-driven culture through clear, persuasive messaging.

Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills:


  • Effective relationship-building skills, fostering productive partnerships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Risk, Technology, Compliance teams) and external partners, including regulatory bodies and technology vendors. Skilled in managing external audit expectations and cultivating alignment with industry best practices.
