Job Purpose



The Group Senior Manager - Business Resilience will support the Business Resilience Director in building and embedding DP World’s capability to prevent, withstand and adapt to threats and shocks to our people, business or reputation.
The role’s aim is to become the trusted advisor to the business on all thing’s crisis management and to coordinate and align with emergency management and business continuity functions. The role will implement the operational resilience strategy and to support innovation and development within the operational resilience programme for DP World.
This Lead is an excellent communicator and relationship builder, using these skills to enhance and strengthen the operational resilience programme. Collaboration and coordination is critical to success and as such, the ability to liaise and communicate with all Risk functions is a key purpose.
By leading initiatives and driving innovation to improve the resilience of DP World, the Group Senior Manager - Business Resilience will be directly contributing to the ability of DP World to meet its strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities



As part of the Business Resilience team, support and drive the delivery of a best-in-class operational resilience function including hands-on responsibility for delivery of projects to develop and deliver effective Group-wide incident-to-crisis response and business continuity frameworks. Primary responsibility for driving the crisis management programmes across Strategic (Gold), Tactical (Silver) and Operational (Bronze) levels, in line with ISO22361 guidelines. Providing the business with advice, support and tools to be able to inform BIAs, Crisis Management Plans and exercises to improve crisis continuity capability. Design and deliver crisis management training and exercising at Silver & Bronze levels. This includes a variety of validation methods including SimEx and tabletop exercises Develop a robust validation and exercise methodology to be used at Bronze Levels. This includes developing templates, resources and reports that can be completed by Bronze Crisis Coordinators. The Lead will provide support and guidance for Bronze level Crisis coordinators to complete annual exercises and undertake reviews of Report outputs Creation and management of a reporting structure / tool to ensure lessons learned are delivered Group wide and recommendations and actions are followed up and implemented within a specific timeframe Provide clear crisis management subject matter expertise to business leaders and colleagues, delivering information through creative presentations, reports, training sessions and engagement campaigns. Lead the delivery of resilience projects, including management of the implementation and maturity of the Group-wide mass notification tool and incident response tool. Innovate and modernise the resilience programme using digitisation and creative tools to improve reach, delivery and engagement. Work with key Group stakeholders (including Group HSE, Group Security, Group People, Group Communications and Group Technology) to ensure full coordination of resilience methodologies, principles and ways-of-working. Provides internal subject matter expertise on resilience methodologies, in particular technology and cyber resilience. Support the Group Crisis Coordinator if there is a live crisis.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills



Skills



Excellent communication skills with an ability to articulate clearly and knowledgeably to Strategic, Tactical and Operational levels Strong problem solver, able to analyse and understand issues, problems or challenges and develop solutions to them. Strong stakeholder management, relationship building, influencing, facilitating and presenting skills at every level of business. Strong understanding of the latest resilience methodologies, including technology and cyber resilience and a proven ability to innovate in the field of resilience. Has the proven ability to think differently, challenge industry norms and adapt quickly to evolving requirements. Is self-aware, anticipates problems, adapts and meets them head on. Is solutions focused – measures their output on whether issues, problems or challenges are resolved as a criteria for success. Works iteratively, at a high tempo, delivering quickly and frequently to produce high quality documents and outputs which require little to no rework. Is calm under pressure and can execute clear command & control measures in stressful situations.

Essential Experience



Recognisable (accredited) resilience qualification (e.g. CBCI or risk management / disaster management degree). Demonstrable understanding of implementing digital transformation projects to support Operational Resilience. Demonstrable experience successfully delivering all aspects of operational resilience programmes (including: Incident and crisis Management, Business Continuity and Emergency Response) Proven experience working in a resilience role within industry or professional services. Experience in leading budgeted resilience projects across a Global footprint. Ability to organise and audit work, including the collation of clear statistics over time. Confident to challenge traditional approaches to create and foster improvements and innovations across the programme. Conscious of others time, is direct and can adapt their communications style. Good understanding of information security and network security principles, theories and methodologies.
