OVERVIEW:
The Group Head of Finance at Solutions Leisure Group will be responsible for overseeing the entire financial operation of the organization. This senior leadership role will involve strategic oversight of all financial functions across the diverse portfolio of food and beverage establishments, ensuring financial stability, growth, and profitability. Working closely with the executive team, the Group Head of Finance will drive financial strategy, manage risks, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This position plays a critical role in shaping the companys long-term financial strategy and supporting key decision-making across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership: Lead the overall financial management of Solutions Leisure Group, ensuring the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the entire group.
Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to define financial goals, contribute to long-term strategy development, and provide actionable insights to influence decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Direct the groups budgeting process and forecast financial performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and trends that impact the groups financial performance. Present findings to the executive team and provide strategic recommendations.
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity levels across the group, implementing measures to optimize working capital and support financial stability.
Compliance & Regulation: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and industry-specific standards, including taxation laws and local financial reporting requirements.
Audit Management: Oversee the coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and resolving any financial discrepancies.
Policy Development & Risk Management: Develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures that strengthen internal controls, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate financial risk.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with other senior leaders and departments (operations, HR, marketing) to assess financial performance and support the execution of key initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth while maintaining high standards of financial discipline.
EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES:
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are strongly preferred.
Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the hospitality, food and beverage, or leisure industries is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the financial challenges, regulations, and compliance standards specific to the food and beverage industry.
Leadership & People Management: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, promoting a collaborative work culture, and managing large-scale financial operations.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights for business growth.
