Job Description

The Group Director, Integration & Culture Communications is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global integration communication strategy that supports acquired entities through all stages of mergers and acquisitions—pre, during, and post-integration. This role ensures that employees in newly acquired businesses feel informed, engaged, and aligned with DP World’s vision, values, and ways of working.
A key focus of this role is to develop a structured, scalable integration communications playbook, providing business units and leaders with the tools, resources, and best practices needed to effectively manage cultural and operational transitions. This includes creating standardized messaging frameworks, onboarding resources, leadership toolkits, and engagement programs that help new employees navigate change with clarity and confidence.
The role also establishes measurement frameworks to track the success of integration efforts, assess employee sentiment, and refine strategies based on data-driven insights. By embedding change management principles into the communication approach, this position ensures that acquired entities are seamlessly integrated into DP World’s corporate culture, fostering a sense of belonging, trust, and shared purpose.
As the lead architect of integration communications strategy, this role collaborates with internal stakeholders, including Enterprise Functions and Business Leadership, to drive a cohesive, consistent, and engaging experience for newly acquired employees. By defining global standards and best practices, the Group Director, Culture & Integration Communications plays a critical role in ensuring DP World maintains a strong, unified corporate culture while successfully integrating new businesses into its ecosystem.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Integration Communication Strategy & Playbook Development
Design and implement a global integration communication strategy that supports newly acquired employees through pre, during, and post-integration phases. Develop a structured integration communications playbook that provides a standardized approach to onboarding, cultural assimilation, and business transition. Create scalable messaging frameworks, toolkits, and best practices to help business leaders effectively communicate change and expectations. Ensure integration messaging aligns with DP World’s purpose, values, and long-term business strategy.
2. Pre-Acquisition Communication Support
Work closely with M&A, People, and leadership teams to develop clear, transparent messaging for employees in newly acquired entities prior to the deal announcement. Create confidential communication guidelines for leadership to manage stakeholder expectations while maintaining discretion. Develop change readiness toolkits to help acquired employees understand the transition process and their future within DP World.
3. Employee Engagement & Cultural Integration
Lead cultural assimilation efforts by developing engagement campaigns, onboarding experiences, and leadership-led storytelling initiatives. Develop dedicated communication plans that address the unique challenges and concerns of employees in acquired entities while aligning them with DP World’s culture. Partner with People and business leaders to create initiatives that build trust, motivation, and a sense of belonging among new employees.
4. Post-Integration Communication Support, Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure integration effectiveness, employee engagement, and cultural adoption. Conduct employee sentiment surveys and feedback sessions to refine messaging, improve onboarding experiences, and address concerns. Use data-driven insights to iterate and enhance integration communication strategies, ensuring continuous improvement.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership Engagement
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on effective communication approaches during M&A transactions. Collaborate with Enterprise Function and Business Unit Leaders teams to ensure a seamless and engaging integration experience. Develop executive communication frameworks, equipping leaders with the right tools and messaging to drive engagement and clarity throughout the integration journey.

JOB CONTEXT:

With DP World’s ongoing expansion and acquisitions, successful integration of newly acquired businesses is critical to long-term success. Employees in acquired entities often experience uncertainty, cultural shifts, and operational changes, making effective, structured communication essential in maintaining engagement, trust, and productivity.
This role ensures that acquired employees transition smoothly into DP World’s culture by implementing clear, consistent, and engaging communication strategies. It also provides business leaders with a structured approach to managing integration communications, ensuring alignment with global best practices while allowing for localized execution.
