Ground & Rail Solution Design Head IMECA


YOUR ROLE



The Ground & Rail Solution Design Head will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative ground and rail logistics solutions across the regions of India, the Middle East Subregion incl. Levant, and Central Asia. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, especially in the context of ground and rail transport. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


  • Solution Design and Development:
    • Lead the design and development of ground and rail logistics solutions tailored to the specific needs of clients in the region.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the implementation of ground and rail logistics projects from conception to completion.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
    • Manage project teams, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their logistics needs and provide customized solutions.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
    • Present solutions and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on ground and rail transportation.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful logistics solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing large, complex projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Knowledge of the logistics landscape in India, the Middle East, and Central Asia is highly desirable.
