Job Description

Job Purpose
  • To support "Manager Ground ops Training and Compliance" (GOTC) in designing, developing and documenting the policies and procedures related to ground operations for group.
  • Responsible for supporting station start-up process for all airlines as per the group ground ops policies and procedures.
  • Support GOTC in various operation projects in the scope of ground operations as needed. Responsible to update and revise the manuals in line with business needs, and in compliance with local/international standards (IOSA/IATA) and regulatory requirements for group airlines.


Key Result Responsibilities
  • Manage the content and amendment of the Ground Operations Manual (GOM), Cargo operations manual and other documents within the scope of Ground operation in line with the corporate policy.
  • Keep the manuals up to date with GCAA, EASA regulations and directives, IATA standards manuals, industry best practices and other CAA requirements as applicable for group Airlines.
  • Keep the Manual contents, SOPs, and Forms standardised across the group airline, Advice the GOTC if the any deviation is noted;
  • Update the Group ground ops policy and procedure manual regularly.
  • Support GOTC to align policy and procedure across the group airline
  • Update and Manage the IGOM portal for the Group ground Ops.
  • Ensure that all relevant safety and quality reports are assessed, and reviewed with GOTC, where appropriate changes are incorporated into the manuals for Group Airlines.
  • To follow up and gather various reports such as Safety reports, mystery passenger reports, and audit reports within the scope of Group Ground Operations and generate the monthly report.
  • Support Manager GOTC in conducting training GAP analysis and station start-up process for new stations for Group Airlines.
  • Support GOTC in conducting compliance audits as required for Group Ground OPS.


Key Result Responsibilities - Continued
  • Ensures documents and records are updated and kept in line with the Group Ground Ops requirements.
  • Analyse and generate a comparative monthly station performance report in baggage handling and Ground Operation performance audit for Group Ground OPS.
  • Analyzes and maintains data essential for ground operations safety to identify areas for increased training and emphasis on accident prevention for Group.
  • Produce operational bulletins, Service Advisories, memos, and fliers.. etc, relating to new or amended procedures as required for Group Ground Ops.
  • Complete regular benchmarking against industry standards to ensure best practice approach to policy and process design.
  • Oversee a designated portfolio of operational processes/practices and represent Ground Operations at discussions related to the assigned portfolio.
  • Promote safety culture in their departments through training and awareness and Continuously seeking ways to improve SMS and exercise SMS responsibilities.


Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of regulations, IATA manuals and IOSA, ISAGO  standards.
  • Experience in Frame Maker manual authoring tool will be an added advantage


Work Experience
  • 3 years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be a supervisory position in any of Ground ops Domain (Passenger handling/Cargo Operation/Load control or Ramp Operation)
  • Shall have a thorough knowledge of the airline ground operations concept;
  • understanding of SMS principles.
  • Manual writing skills
