Job Description
• Determine the correct data sets and variables to meet the needs of the business.
• Extract, curate and interpret data from multiple sources in a meaningful way.
• Conduct deep dive and root cause analysis to identify patterns, uncover opportunities and create a shared understanding of insights with the stake holders.
• Conduct research and basic statistical analysis to come up with recommendations for the business teams to help stakeholders to evaluate tradeoffs in different approaches.
• Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining and data cleansing.
• Should have working proficiency in Python, SQL, and Visualization tools
• Should be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and articulate using clear and timely communication
• Manage data requirements of multiple projects, work with teams, and deliver as per timelines.
• Demonstrate a track record of taking ownership and driving results
RequirementsExperience (Yrs & Field) : 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst/data mining/data visualization role
If fresher, GET(Graduate Engineer Trainee)
Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
Skills & Abilities:
• Technical skills -MS Excel, Python, SQL and Visualization tools - Power BI(any other Visualization tool)
• Strong analytical and coding skills, with 1+ years’ experience with Python (preferred) or R
• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.
• Retail and e-Commerce experience preferred
• Working knowledge on REST, SOAP and Webservice APIs
• Preferred know-how in integrating non-relational data sources like Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube.
• Advanced knowledge of ETL, including the ability to read and write efficient, robust code, follow, or implement best practices and coding standards, design/implement common ETL strategies (CDC, SCD, etc.), and create reusable/maintainable jobs.
• Gather and prepare data to support analytics from a variety of data source types including databases, flat files, external sources, etc. as necessary
