MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Government Relations Officer, a key member of the Mediclinic Middle East HR teams, collaborates closely with the HR Admin and Recruitment teams to ensure that all new hires have their visas processed before joining Mediclinic Middle East's business units. Additionally, the Government Relations Officer is responsible for managing visa renewals and cancellations.




KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • Responsible for the entire visa process from collection to application and forwarding to relevant parties to ensure that the visa is completed within the specified time frame. This includes new employees, renewals, transfers and cancellations
  • Responsible for providing monthly statistics on visa costs and medical licensing costs
  • Provides solutions to visa or government problems and liaises with the appropriate entities
  • Preparing letters (Arabic & English) and forms for labor, immigration, Police, economic, traffic, various countries consulate and other Government departments


REQUIRED EDUCATION

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent


Desired: Human Resources Diploma or other relevant qualification (i.e. Psychology), or a bachelors qualification plus relevant experience


Desired: A degree in a related area would be well regarded




REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Skills/Abilities/Experience Required:


Experience in working within a Human Resources Team in a clinical environment


Excellent time management skills; able to prioritise own workload


Must have a good understanding of recruitment tracking and reporting


Experience of providing advice and assistance to employees


Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel


Good spoken and written communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are necessary


Excellent attention to detail


Must be organized and understand processes and procedures


Must have very good interpersonal skills and good negotiation skills


Must have strong problem solving skills


Must have the ability to work within a multicultural team


Must be comfortable with working flexible hours if required
