As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:


  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Direct calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Take and relay messages accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and resolve issues or complaints.
  • Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Handle wake-up calls and special requests from guests.
  • Monitor and manage phone systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect guest information.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or communication is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or telephone operator role preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear and pleasant speaking voice.
  • Proficient in using telephone systems and related technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
