As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:


  • Oversee daily operations of food and beverage service in the hotel’s dining outlets, including restaurants, bars, & room service.
  • Ensure all food and beverage service standards are consistently met, delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, conducting regular performance appraisals.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to meet service demands.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new food and beverage offerings or promotions.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and take proactive steps to enhance service quality.
  • Prepare and manage shift schedules for food and beverage staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Assist in budget management, cost control, and achieving financial goals for the department.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments, including front office and housekeeping, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dining and service areas.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:


  • Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory or management role, ideally within a hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service standards, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to manage a diverse team and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A degree or diploma in hospitality management, food service management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus).
