Job Description


Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Captain is responsible for overseeing the dining experience of guests in a restaurant or hotel setting. They ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and coordination of the waitstaff.

Job Responsibility:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the waitstaff, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service.
2. Ensure that all guests are attended to promptly and efficiently, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
3. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, ensuring that tables are set properly and the ambiance is welcoming.
5. Train new staff members on service standards, menu knowledge, and company policies.
6. Handle guest complaints and feedback in a professional and efficient manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest.

Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Captain or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
2. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of waitstaff.
3. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
5. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, wine pairings, and service standards.
6. Certification in food safety and hygiene is a plus.
