As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests regarding food and beverage offerings at the hotel.
- Provide expert knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage menu, including daily specials, promotions, and wine pairings.
- Proactively upsell food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience and meet revenue goals.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to develop and execute creative food and beverage promotions and campaigns.
- Engage with guests to create personalized dining recommendations based on their preferences and dietary needs.
- Assist with food and beverage order taking and relay guest orders to the kitchen and bar.
- Maintain a deep understanding of current food and beverage trends, offering suggestions to elevate guest experiences.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining areas, including setting up and replenishing food stations.
- Track and report guest feedback, making recommendations to improve services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and service.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, ideally in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and upsell effectively.
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wines, cocktails, and dietary restrictions.
- Previous experience or interest in collaborating with marketing teams to create and promote special offers and events.
- Positive, energetic, and proactive approach to customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
