The role?
The FP&A Manager plays a key role in driving the organization’s financial strategy by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across departments to provide actionable insights, improve financial performance, and support strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain financial models (P & L, B/S, Cashflow) to support the businesses.
- Monitor and report on budget adherence, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Performance Analysis:
- Analyze financial performance metrics, including variance and sensitivity analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and cost control.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management.
Strategic Decision Support:
- Partner with business units to evaluate new projects, investments, and business opportunities (DCF models, Capital investments, M & A, New Market and Country entry).
- Work with Estimations to design and build sound, robust financial models for tendering process
- Develop scenario planning models to assess potential outcomes of strategic initiatives.
- Support decision-making with robust financial data, insights, and risk assessments.
Reporting and Insights:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, adhering to corporate standards.
- Deliver insights on market trends, industry benchmarks, and financial impacts of external factors.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting.
- Support the integration of advanced analytics tools and automation into the FP&A function.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize financial systems and reporting platforms.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor a team of Project Accountants, fostering professional growth and development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and sales, to ensure financial alignment.
- Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
