JOB PURPOSE:
The Financial Analyst will support the bank’s financial planning and analysis activities by evaluating financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making. This role is crucial in ensuring the bank’s financial health and optimizing investment opportunities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Analyze Financial Data: Evaluate historical and current financial data to understand the bank’s financial
status.
Financial Modeling: Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision-making.
Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Trend Analysis: Study industry-specific business trends and research data to predict future financial performance.
Risk Assessment: Measure financial risk associated with investment decisions and provide recommendations.
Budgeting: Assist in the budgeting process and perform variance analysis.
Investment Guidance: Provide guidance on buying or selling stocks, making investments, and generating funds.
Documentation: Prepare documentation to support funding applications and financial audits

Ability to gather, analyse, evaluate information to prepare the return timely and correctly.
The job holder should be immune to pressure / influence to relax ethics & security standards.
FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
Functions within the framework and boundaries of the Banks policies as well as the overall organisation and governance frameworks.
Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorization matrix.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in accounting / Finance or Economics, or related field, MBA preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on financial analysis and regulatory reporting.
Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
