Job Description
We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting and management accounting for our Middle East distribution entity. The role involves ensuring accurate monitoring, control, and posting of transactions to the general ledger, while also overseeing financial operations and acting as a key partner to senior management. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of finance, controllership, and operations for the company.
Skills
Required Skills and Experience:
- CA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification (or equivalent in accounting/finance).
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 2-5 years in the F&B industry.
- Proficiency in Oracle computerized accounting and multinational business environments (3-5 years).
- Advanced Excel skills and FP&A experience (MIS, Budgeting, Variance Analysis).
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IAS, SAS is a plus.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience working with senior management.
- Ability to work under pressure and travel occasionally.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and commercial practices in the UAE and Middle East/GCC.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Oversee financial and management reporting, including capex, working capital budgeting, and forecast preparations.
- Approve balance sheet reconciliation and manage the capital request, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Support Senior Finance Manager with pricing negotiations.
- Coach accountants on process improvements.
Operations:
- Manage accounting, treasury, accounts payable/receivable functions, and financial operations across related business units.
- Implement operational best practices and manage outsourced functions.
- Manage the company’s transaction processing systems.
Financial Information:
- Ensure the accuracy of financial information and reports in accordance with the established reporting calendar.
- Support management and departments with financial insights to aid decision-making.
- Prepare and report financial results for internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Ensure implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
- Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring proper record-keeping for audits and governance.
- Report any risk issues to the Senior Finance Manager/Management Team.
Funding:
- Monitor cash balances and forecasts.
- Manage internal cash transfer processes and Capital Authorization Requests.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Oversee an efficient accounts payable/receivable team.
- Ensure receipts and payments are made within agreed terms and internal control processes are followed.
People Management:
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government institutions.
- Develop and manage teams to meet objectives, including performance management and succession planning.
- Ensure the work-related health, safety, and well-being of all direct reports.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Travel to distribution centers and other STI markets in the GCC.
