The International Finance Team is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment between Group Finance, Commercial leadership and market dynamics. Ultimately driving achievement of the agreed growth drivers and International Profit and Loss.   


As the successful role holder you will support the finance function in the International Region (countries outside Europe, US and Japan) to ensure strategic and operational goals of the business are delivered.  You will drive business planning processes and performance management including business insights. Your aim will be to deliver and implement standardisation across the Region and support our Finance Vision of being a leading Finance function across the Pharmaceutical industry.


You will enjoy working globally with all senior levels of our organisation including the Chief Financial Officers and you will be able to influence and negotiate, using your strong communication skills.


Main responsibilities and accountabilities


  • Contribute to ensure strategic and operational objectives of the business are delivered


    • Supporting and providing insights through financial/business analysis/benchmarks to leaders/countries to facilitate the decision-making process.


    • Ensuring accurate forecast (including implementation of new forecasting models)


    • Report on monthly sales estimates and actual sales to EVP International and VP Finance, providing meaningful variance analysis commentary.


    • Supporting financial management of alliance partnership brands (Eg. Enhertu/Dato-Dxd) through collaboration with commercial and finance teams in AZ organization and counterpart from partners organization.


    • Other fit for purpose financial analysis to aid decision making across TA and regional stakeholders.


  • Drive Business Performance Management


    • Providing monthly business/financial performance insights to relevant stakeholders


    • Maintaining monthly revenue Rolling Estimate including tracking of risk and ops, which accelerates to weekly in the final quarter.


  • Contribute to quarter business review (QBR) work in International region.


    • Support data and analysis generation.


    • Work closely with the countries/regional team to provide data insights and


  • Contribute to share best practises and simplification across the Region and cross SET


  • Close collaboration with middle-office Finance teams to ensure forecast and actual data loaded into multiple financial reporting applications and management reports is accurate and aligned.


  • Support implementation of Global tools, projects and initiatives for planning & reporting, profitability optimisation initiatives, sustainability priorities.


  • Deliver on other tasks as assigned by the line manager and/or the company


Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience


Essential


  • Degree in Finance/Engineering qualification


  • Extensive work experience in Finance/Commercial Function


  • Experience of working across a global organisation and working with key senior stakeholders


  • Flexible and can do attitude


  • Strong analytical ability with excellent focus on detail


  • Strong excel  business modelling capabilities


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team focused environment


  • Demonstrated ability to lead a process with minimal or no supervision


  • Ability to influence others without authority


  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities


Desirable


  • MBA or other Finance/Business qualification e.g. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA


  • International Experience
