Job Description
Currently looking for a Fashion Designer. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Creating sketches and prototypes for new collections
- Create new designs and collections as per the international fashion trends.
- Researching fashion trends and staying current on contemporary styles and applying it to company’s collection.
- Choosing materials and accessories.
- Supervising or working with designers, master cutters and tailors team members.
- Planning for the seasonal collection.
- Being aware of the company’s different seasons and their fashion requirements and implementation on the dresses.
- Designers should be aware of different cuts & local abaya styles
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to ensure designs align with brand strategy and consumer expectations..
- Managing the design process from conception through to final styling.
- Liaising with suppliers and managing production timelines to ensure timely delivery of collections.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers and interns.
- Maintaining a portfolio of work and continuously updating it to showcase your latest designs and concepts.
- Understanding and incorporating sustainable practices into the design and production processes.
- Utilizing design software and technology to enhance the creation process and presentation of ideas

Fashion Illustration and Technical Drawing
- Proficiency in hand-drawing or digital tools like Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, or CAD software for technical sketches and garment construction details.
Knowledge of Fabrics and Textiles
- Understanding the properties, types, and behavior of fabrics, materials, and embellishments to make informed design decisions.
Trend Forecasting and Market Awareness
- Staying updated on fashion trends, cultural influences, and industry movements.
- Ability to predict and design for upcoming trends that meet consumer demands.
Attention to Detail
- Precision in designs, patterns, and final garment finishes.
- Ensuring quality in cuts, stitching, trims, and overall presentation.

- Managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and handling production schedules effectively.
Strong Communication Skills
- Collaborating with teams (pattern makers, suppliers, and manufacturers).
- Presenting design ideas clearly to stakeholders or clients.
