Position Summary
Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in the Paramedic program. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Faculty members play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.

- The successful candidate is expected to engage in applied research relevant to their division’s interests and the national innovation agenda and its targeted priority sectors."
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- 3 years of Teaching Experience in teaching / training in the area of Paramedic Sciences or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) within a relevant educational / clinical setting
- 3 years of Industrial Experience as a Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) which may include relevant experience in related disciplines such as (Advanced Practice and / or Trauma / Emergency Department / Intensive Care Nursing) etc.
- Current registration as a practicing EMT according to internal standard in country of origin / residence
- Must be able to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas
- Experience in developing course curriculum as per accreditation and international standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
