Job Description

  • Teach and promote learning in a range of courses in your area of specialization, using modern teaching and learning methods.
  • Prepare the students for all types of assessments, including, examinations, Projects, assignments and reports;
  • Evaluate the progress of each student and notify students in need of counselling services and/or tutorial assistance
  • Reporting to Centre Manager and the Management, is responsible to apply their expertise to develop, if necessary, and deliver; courses/programs so that students learn and reach their academic goals
  • To Develop course curriculum, course handouts, lectures and presentations · To engage in designated professional development activities of the Centre
  • Facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using each course's standard course outline as a guide.
  • Be available to students via email, phone, or personal conferences. The method of contact and hours of availability should be clearly communicated to Centre Manger and to students through the course syllabus each semester.
  • Assign grades and maintain course/student records in accordance with various Awarding Bodies, regulations and submit grades and records by established deadlines.
  • Attend commencement or other ceremonies appropriate to the faculty member's discipline or program.
  • To actively participate in departmental meetings and activities, in support of the general development of students and the Centre, Instructional assignments, using appropriate teaching methods such as a lecture, lab, or distance format, and could include self-paced instruction
  • Evaluation of student portfolios/assessments and other materials to conduct Prior Learning Assessments of students.
  • Development of teaching and learning materials whenever required.
  • Referring students to Student Admissions & Relationship Managers and others within the Centre to address specific student learning or personal issues;
  • Preparation of a portfolio/ assessment for use in the formative review process
  • Take part in course related and promotional video’s for the Centre and its online platform
  • Take part in Social Media and Learning Platform on behalf of the Centre as and when advised
  • Perform other academically related duties as assigned by the Centre Manager.
