Facilities and Maintenance Manager



Abu Dhabi Orbitworks – Operations / Full time / On-site
As Facility and Maintenance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our state-of-the-art facility in Abu Dhabi. As a key member of the Operations team, you will oversee maintenance and repair operations, coordinate with construction contractors, and implement systems to ensure our facility supports the high-performance needs of satellite manufacturing. Your expertise will help us maintain operational excellence and meet industry standards.

About this Role:



+ Construction Coordination: Act as the point of contact for Orbitworks with the General Contractor responsible for facility construction. Learn everything about the facility as it's being built so you are ready when the facility is ready in summer 2025.
+ Maintenance Coordination: Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities to optimize uptime and resource utilization.
+ Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and cleanroom environments.
+ Inspection & Repairs: Conduct regular inspections of critical systems, identifying issues and overseeing repair or replacement as needed.
+ Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards, developing emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.
+ Maintenance Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, tracking and controlling costs effectively.
+ Vendor Oversight: Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, monitoring performance and resolving issues.
+ Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the Operations team to ensure the facility continuously meets the evolving needs of Orbitworks’ operations.
+ Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field, with at least 10 years in a maintenance management role, ideally in high-tech or manufacturing environments.
+ Languages: English fluency
+ Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems, as well as experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
+ Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a strong attention to detail and quality.
+ Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
+ Safety Commitment: A strong dedication to safety protocols and conducting regular safety training.
+ Cleanroom Experience: Familiarity with cleanroom environments, especially for satellite manufacturing facilities.
+ Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements such as ISO 14644.
+ Arabic proficiency
