Job Description

KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES# Participate in the management of innovation laboratories, inventory their outputs, and maximize their use todevelop specialized work at the institutional and sector levels# Participate in the preparation, development, and implementation of innovation laboratory plans, institutionalresearch plans, and partnership plans# Any additional responsibilities as advised by the Department Director# Commitment to the quality standards and requirements of the Roads and Transport Authority, the Authority’spolicies, its relations with customers, suppliers and employees, and the implementation of duties andresponsibilities in accordance with the rules of business ethics of the Roads and Transport Authority# Supervising and leading the planning and implementation of projects related to innovation and leadershipmanagement, including participating in preparing the scope of work, selecting appropriate consultants forimplementation, and following up on the implementation stages# Supervising self-evaluation and simulation, according to the requirements and standards of excellence,following up on the analysis of the results, and developing appropriate corrective measures to ensure thehighest levels of readiness for the Authority’s participation in excellence programs# Technical and specialized support to ensure the implementation of all excellence programs in the Authority in amanner that achieves the expectations of the leadership# Supervising the evaluation and work activities of consultants and service providers to manage innovation andleadership# Propose specific initiatives and projects that enhance readiness to meet the requirements and standardsof the Dubai Excellence Program, thus contributing to the sustainability of the first positions in the variouscategories of the award (elite - variable - individuals)# Providing support and technical advice in developing and managing the intellectual property managementsystem at the authority level# Participate and provide support to the relevant departments in managing the Authority’s relations withexternal parties regarding specialized scientific studies and research, and establishing strategic partnershipswith research centers and supervising them to serve the Authority in the areas of innovation and development# Support and provide advice in preparing the department’s budget, projects and initiatives# Provides professional and technical advice to the department director on specialized matters and activitiesrelated to the department’s specialized area# Providing technical and specialized support in the development processes and sustainable implementation ofthe department’s specialized strategies in the areas of research, development, innovation and compliance withrelevant policies at the authority level# Participate in developing a comprehensive management plan and supervising implementation including regularmeasurement and recommendation of management-related best practices# Participate and support in implementing plans and programs for research, innovation, partnerships, andpioneering practices, and managing a central database for research, innovations, intellectual property, andpartnerships# Participate in preparing and updating policies, manuals, and processes that support the department’s work# Follow global trends in innovation, knowledge, research, excellence, partnerships, pioneering practices, andcompetitive indicators, and work with the organizational units in the Authority to ensure alignment with workplans and initiatives to achieve leadership positions in specialized work# Participate in developing and activating the work mechanisms necessary to measure and monitor the level ofmaturity for innovation, research, partnerships and excellence in the Authority


Education


# Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management from recognized university -Master’s degreein related field is preferred -Certificate in EFQM, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Business Process Management ispreferred - 14+ years of work experience in a related field of work.
