Expeditor
Expeditor You as an Expeditor will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE. The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services, minimizing delays, and maintaining project schedules through effective monitoring and management of supplier performance and this role plays a critical part in supporting purchasing activities, from issuance of purchase orders (POs) to final delivery, covering both international and in-country shipments.
Your responsibilities
Monitoring and following up as requesting status updates from suppliers and purchase orders, Request status updates from suppliers for non-service POs and from Project Managers for service-related POs based on delivery timelines. Coordinate with the Purchasing team and other stakeholders to adjust or close POs as necessary. Problem identification and resolution, proactively identify delays or issues impacting delivery and take necessary actions to resolve issues, escalating internally if required. Expediting reports and communication and provide weekly reports summarizing the scheduled receiving of goods and services by category and country to SCM, Operations, and Purchasing Managers. Responsible for coordination with Stakeholders and Work closely with Project Managers, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to address issues and expedite Pos, facilitate any PO modifications in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring any required documentation (e.g., Testing Certificate, Certificate of Origin) is in place. Requesting for inbound delivery and goods receipt and manage inbound delivery entries for international shipments, coordinating with logistics for further movement, for in-country shipments, support the Goods Receipt (GR) process in collaboration with the GR Responsible Person. Non-Conformance and Corrective actions and follow the Supplier Non-Conformance Resolution Process to address and resolve non-conformance issues, highlight potential cases for Liquidity Damages and coordinate with Purchasing and Operations for decisions. Documentation and Record Keeping and maintain accurate records of activities and communications in the Celonis system, track key performance metrics related to on-time delivery and delays. Responsible for continuous Improvement and regularly review the expediting process, implementing feedback to enhance efficiency and performance. A bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
