Job Description

esponsibilities:

  • Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to dig, lift, move, and place materials according to job specifications.
  • Perform excavation tasks such as trenching, grading, and loading as directed by project supervisors.
  • Inspect machinery daily to ensure functionality, report any maintenance needs or issues, and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for self and others on the job site.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including site supervisors and engineers, to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed logs of activities, work hours, and maintenance or operational issues.
  • Assist in site preparation and clean-up, ensuring work areas are organized and free of hazards.


Skills

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in heavy equipment operation preferred.
  • Valid operator’s license and certifications for excavator operation (as required by local laws).
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience operating excavators on construction or excavation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of excavator controls, functions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction documents.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
